Day 15 June 5, 2008
We left Bishops Bay at 5:30am and arrived at Kumealon at 6pm.
71.3 miles 12 ½ hours!! Omega goes approx 6 knots per hour. (6.9 mph)
We traveled the beautiful Verney Passage with snow capped mountains, some 3500 ft tall with waterfalls everywhere coming down into the water all around us. It was breathtaking to travel along this beautiful waterway. The temperatures are cooler as we get further north.
We decid
ed to top off the fuel tanks at Hartley Bay around 25 miles outside of Bishops Bay. It was a minus tide. Note the difference height of the dock and the fuel hose dock.

Note the difference height of the dock and the fuel hose dock.After anchoring in Kumealon Cove, the wind was blowing 10 knots but it was a beautiful site and we could see Grenville Channel from our anchorage with the beautiful snow capped mountains in the background.
Steve and Judy, Code Blue, invited us over to their boat for dinner. Delicious and a fun time were had by all. We anchored and dinghy back & forth.
We are now only 38 miles from Prince Rupert, British Columbia and we are approx 336.7 miles from Juneau, AK. Depending on weather and our stamina we could be in Juneau in less than 2 weeks. **smile**
