Funter Bay

Day 50 July 10, 2008

We had decided the night before, after listening to the ominous weather forecast for today, to simply layover for the day in our own private sanctuary. The cold and misty morning and was followed by a very breezy and cloudy afternoon.

Don and Diane on the dock in Funter Bay.

After taking a look around the island, we each attended to various tasks, John hauled the dinghy out on the dock to clean off 50 days of marine growth and give it a coat of wax. Daleen worked on lunch, helping John clean the Omega’s 120 square feet of living space and worked on blog and pictures. Don & Diane took care of similar task on Saoirse and there is always naptime…

We enjoyed dinner aboard Saoirse.

It has been a much needed layover day. We were lulled asleep by the gentle rocking of the waves and the calling of eagles in the trees nearby.
