After leaving the fuel dock, we headed on our next adventure. We were told not to miss South Marble Island, lots of sea lions and birds.
South of South Marble Island,, Beardsle
e Passage, we came across our first Sea Otters. They were everywhere, floating on their backs. Oh Goodness, just so cute. We have never seen so many just floating around and so curious they are.
South Marble Island --- many
birds nesting on the side of the island, different types of sea gulls, cormorants, Sea Lions, Bull Sea Lions.
Then we spotted one of Daleens’ hope to find. The Tufted Puffins I remember seeing one on our first guided
whale watching trip in the early ‘90’s and haven’t seen one since. I was just so excited to see this colorful bird in the wild.We traveled on, anchored in Blue Mouse Cove and enjoyed spareribs, baked beans and salad aboard Code Blue. Tuff life but someone has to do it.
It has been a remarkable day.
