13, 2008It was great to return to Auke Bay to visit with Cliff and Lori. We decided it would be nice to have Cliff and Lori along with Don and Diane on the Omega for surf and turf night. So Dian
e and Daleen created John’s recipe for crab cakes along with steaks. Yummy…. It was a wonderful evening.Saturday July 10th, Lori drove Diane and Daleen around to take care of laundry and re-provisioning, while Cliff helped John and Don took care of errands for minor repairs and buy new spares for our boats.
We all ended up at Cliff and Lori’s for a yummy lasagna dinner and wonderful conversation. What fun it was to play and pet their two adorable cats Blue and Buddy. They have such a great personality.
Saturday evening, John decided he had much to do on the Omega, so he returned to the boats with Don & Diane and Daleen stayed at Cliff and Lori’s and enjoyed some special time the next morning with Lori. I do enjoy her friendship and will miss leaving and already look forward to our next time together. Gosh, it is hard to believe we have known each other for 30 years in 2009. Yikes…
Sunday, after a restful morning, Lori and Daleen enjoyed relaxing at their beautiful home, then going out for
lunch and walking around the shops of Juneau for a while. I love walking around the shops and watching the people, who mostly arrive on the 3-4 cruise ships that are in Juneau each day until Sept. We then took a drive almost to the end of Juneau highways to see the beautiful mountains and glacier. Thank you again for a wonderful time and for all you help us accomplish. The hot showers and warm bed were wonderful! Till our next
