We are home!! 4 months of delightful 24/7

Happy Birthday Garrett!!! Hope your day was as special as you are.

We arrived at our boat slip in Condo 18 - Anacortes, WA around noon on Sunday September 21. It was so exciting to enter our homeport after having such a wonderful time in British Columbia and Alaska.

We have worked so hard since returning and once our truck was full, we decided to head home for a few days and return to the Omega later to work on regular maintenance and just to have more time to visit with our yacht club friends.

Oh my goodness, we had such a great summer but it feels so good to be home. It was equally as exciting to see our home. We have wonderful neighbors who watch over our home and it felt nice to know they were nearby and great to see them again. The pleasures (we take for granted) of a regular bed, hot shower, flush toilets, dishwasher, ice maker, hot and cold water on demand (without filling tanks) are all wonderful to have back at our finger tips.

However, the Omega gave us a different breathtaking mountain or harbor view almost every morning. In the comfort of our cockpit, we witnessed such awesome wildlife. We had solitude to just relax and recharge our batteries, read a good book, take a walk and also spend time with friends and other cruisers. We are blessed....and very thankful...

John and I experience wonderful friendships along the way that will last a lifetime.
