WHAT A DAY!!!!! Before heading to Squirrel Cove, Helen Marie (Lee & Rosey), Omega (John & Daleen) and Pier Pressure (Bob & Lois) fished for lingcod throughout the day. We would catch a rock fish with almost every cast and many times brought up a smaller lingcod and let it go to grow up. Daleen caught one keeper size lingcod but after it reached the surface, she had sent John below for the gaff and the lincod got away. Darn…. but what a thrill it was to bring it to the surface. Pier Pressure and Omega caught a couple rock fish which are also delicious…. and many fish which we through back...
For one reason or another in the 4 years we have been traveling north on the Omega, have not visited Squirrel Cove. There is a nice size grocery store and wonderful produce just up from the govt dock.
Deeper in the cove we rafted unto Helen Marie around 7:30pm after one of the greatest days of fun on the water. We ended the day on Helen Marie with Lee, Rosey, Bob, Lois and John and Daleen for dinner. We laughed so hard with everyone telling jokes and just having a funfilled evening…. We will look forward to our next get together with more jokes… Lois is a great story teller…..**smile**
The next morning we woke up and around 9am we headed over to the govt dock to check out the store with anything and everything you might need from food to hardware items…
