I know I sound like a broken record but what a beautiful day we are having. There continues to not be a cloud in the sky and the mountains around the Straits of Georgia, some still with snow on the tops are beautiful. The water is the deepest blue you will ever see.
The last 2 days we have noticed a heavy dew on the outside of the Omega which we have not had too much through our summer adventures. Maybe a little light dew but not like the last 2 days. Last week, Don aboard Saoirse had told us that the air felt different like the weather was turning and it was time to head south. At the time, we still wanted to stay in Desolation Soun for another week of two but now reluctantly, we are headed south to relax and enjoy cruising areas closer to our home port.
We are now over half way across the Straits of Georgia and the seas are a slight ripple with just enough wind to hold the head sail out to steady us. John just informed me that we h
ave traveled 2800 nautical miles (3238 statute miles) and have logged 540 engine hours to date. We have been out for 3 months & 26 days. 
Diane, Ella & Reed along with Diane's brother Richard & Aimee along with Charlie and their Mom Mary went to the sunflower fields in Kansas. We always love to get pictures.
Reed, our 3 year old grandson started pre-school in the last few weeks. He is our youngest Grandson. I still can’t believe his sister Ella is 9 years old. Allen and Diane are busy with their internet business, Barristerbooks.com

h turned 10 during our cruise this summer and Garrett, Hannah’s brother will turn 8 next week. How fast they grow. Joe and Teresa are also staying busy and both fam
ilies are looking forw
ard to their vacation to Disney World in October.
David is staying busy with his job and remodeling his new farmhouse. Rachel our oldest granddaughter is 24 and our great Granddaughter Briyanah is already 4 is also doing well.
We are looking forward to a relaxing summer in 2009 when the grandkids come to our home to visit. We can’t wait….
Troy, our youngest son, returned to the US from his trip to Thailand where he was working for an organization called World Wide Impact Now. They were able to help with the cyclone relief. I’m glad to have him back in the states….
We miss everyone and hope to see them during our “roadtrip”.
