What a Dixon Entrance crossing is all we have to say. The first day was a mill pond and we only hoped we could go further but the wind was freshing and it was a 6 hour day. We enjoyed a great afternoon relaxing and just enjoying being on Omega in the Sunshine!!! Just before we retired, John exclaimed, "Daleen come look". The Full Moon was coming over the trees and what display.
We left at 5:20am to start our 2nd leg of Dixon Entrance. We had 1 foot ocean swells until we were begin the island but they were very mild and we had put up Omega's sail to take the rock out.
The clouds thinned and the sun came out and what a glorious day to cross the remainder 56 miles to Prince Rupert, Canada, accompanied by several humpback whales. We round our way thru Venn Passage, a short stop at the fuel stop, Omega sipped gingerly at 11 gallons. Refreshed, we drove next door to the newly opened in 2016 Cow Bay Marina, very nice, and were greeting by the Harbor Master who helped us into our slip. The sun is shining, a breeze is blowing and we getting ready to look around.
