After such an eventful trip to Portage Bay, we left under calm seas with fog. After we left Portage Bay, the fog was above the trees and you could see almost across Frederick Sound.
Not for the entire trip. Our visibility was between 1/4 to 1/2 mile and sometimes we could hardly see past the bow of Omega. Luckily that was short-lived and after a couple hours the fog thinned and we had good visibility. The seas were a mill pond.
What a difference a day makes... twenty-four little hours.
We arrived in Petersburg under partly sunny skies and calm seas. We will be here for a couple days, while we re-provision, regular maintenance on Omega (oil & filter change, zinc) and many other checks, laundry and resting...
