Refuge Cove - Desolation Sound, British Columbia

We arrived at Refuge Cove around 1:30pm Tuesday - today. The sun continues to shine with warm temperatures but we did have a small cooler front move through the last day or two which made sleeping a little nicer. High winds had been forecasted all week but we only enjoyed the beautiful calm days but they finally found us while anchored in the Copelands.... Sunday July 11th.

We enjoyed anchoring in Boho Bay on Lasqueti Island along the Straits of Georgia, Blind Bay on the mainland side and then spent a couple days anchored in the Copelands. A little wind in the Copelands caused us to head to Grace Harbour and then return for Saoirse's anchor & rode & our prawn traps today.

Beautiful view of the mountains around Desolation Sound.

We plan on heading through Yuculta, Gillard and Dent rapids tomorrow or the next day and continue our slow meandering north toward the Broughton’s and further north.

Fresh prawns for dinner tonight….
