Happy 4th of July - Fisherman's Bay in the San Juan Islands

We arrived in Fisherman's Bay around 3pm after trolling for salmon for a while with no luck this time. Tom Herr from our yacht club had already arrived.

We heard reports of the Orca being spotted near Burrows Island, which is outside of our home marina, took a look but they were too far away & decided to head toward Fisherman's Bay. Don & Diane, who were heading from Hood Canal, spotted the pod and enjoyed a show of the mighty Orca.

Don & Diane arrived in Fisherman's Bay around 4:30 and we had an enjoyable time catching up.
Mike & Nere plan on arriving tomorrow around noon.

Happy 4th too! One year since we met you at Butchart Gardens. Man are we glad you stopped by. Not expecting quite as spectacular a show in Sitka. For starters, their's starts at 11:45pm!
