We made it to Searsport Maine!! I'm going to get with my friend Marion and meet her husband Bob who I haven't seen in over 30 years. In the late 80's we exercised in the water at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, KS. We extended that by walking 2 miles M-F and 4 miles on Saturday. Rested on Sunday. Marion drove over to our home and we walked before work, said bye and we went to work. We have exchanged Christmas cards over the years and it will be awesome to catch up. How much fun this will be.
Marion recommended a campground near their home in Searsport. Oh My Goodness It was such a great RV part right on the water. Our trailer backed up right along the waters edge.

The owner of the trailer park recommended a driving route to take that was beautiful. LOL LOL We laughed so hard because we drove and drove. It was beautiful but not sure what he intended for us to see. We finally turned around and went to some local spots that were gorgeous on the water and recommended by Bob & Marion.
The beautiful gothic tower is in reconnection of the service rendered in Camden in World War I.
We took a drive to Mt Battie which is a beautiful view overlooking Camden RI. You also find a fun map of the entire vista to point out islands and lighthouses.
We took a walk out to Owl's Head Lighthouse, was on land purchased by the USA on Nov 22, 1824. It was first lit on Sept 10 1825 and has guided the coast ever sense.
The day before we had lobster rolls and delicious Crab roll on my birthday at a Young's Lobster Pound with Marion and Bob, who were excellent tour guides.
We had so much fun together.

We left Searsport, Maine yesterday after a wonderful visit with Marion and Bob She looks the same.
Beautiful. Never long enough for a visit but we said until next time.
It is so beautiful here in Maine with nice cool temps at night and 68-74 during the day. The weather has been sunny and just amazing.
We drove north to Acadia National Park. Another gorgeous place to visit. It is huge. We drove to the top of the Cadillac Mountain and had a spectacular 360 degree view of the area!!
The shorelines along the edge of the park were amazing. Blowhole which is waves crashing through holes in the rock sending geysers of foaming seawater in the air.
We had more rain the last couple days, which brought the mosquitoes out. I don't think I have ever seen so many mosquitoes in the middle of the day.... Amazing. More insect repellent.....
