Sunny days continue

We spent our first night on the Orcas Island YC dock in the San Juan Islands USA.  Winds pick up through the San Juan Islands gusting 30+ so decided we were retired and tied Our boats on the dock. Nice place with showers & etc.

We left on 6/5 and headed across the US/Canadian border, checked into Canada by phone and was told to meet at Montague Harbor.  We waited for the allotted time and then moved on and spent the night anchored in Clam Bay on Kuper Island in the Gulf Islands.  Beautiful spot.

The weather continues to be in the 80's, which is a little warm for June but feels lovely. .

On 6/6 we traveled thru Dodd Narrows at slack and then into Nanaimo, B. C.

We tied to a slip at Nanaimo Port Authority Marina for a couple days to recharge, reprovision fruits and veggies and any thing else we might have forgotten.

6/8 Omega and Saoirse crossed the Straits of Georgia with winds 5-10 and very light chop seas. Wonderful crossing and sail. We decided to anchor in Garden Bay in Pender Harbour. Today was cloudy and much cooler his morning but this afternoon is beautiful with a lovely breeze.
We heading out in Beta our dinghy to the parks this afternoon to explore.
